6 Ways You Can Support EGC for Free (That You Can Do today!)

1. Follow Us on Social Media

If you haven’t already, follow us on Instagram. We are very active there with constant updates about events—not just from us but from our partner organizations as well. It also helps a ton when like our posts and share them to your stories! The more our IG community engages with us, the farther our reach is—which means even more supporters and potential Giving Circle members!

Also…. ** drum roll, please ** …

That’s Right! EGC is (finally) on TikTok!

Go and follow us! Share your favorite trends with us! Tell us what kind of content you’d like to see from EGC’s TikTok.

2. Take Our Survey

We mentioned in our last post that we are trying to get a better understanding of our current supporters. We want to engage with you in ways that you actually want us to! Please fill out this survey and encourage your fellow EGC supporters to do the same. If you have any issues accessing the survey, email Aoifae Fawn at Marketing@equitablegivingcircle.org

3. Subscribe to Our Newsletter

Get updates every month + announcements about exclusive events from EGC and our partner organizations. In the next few months, we’ll be adding fun bonus features like recipes that incorporate our Farm Partner’s fresh ingredients and suggestions that we receive from the survey results. Sign up Here.

4. Attend Our Events

We have routine weekly, monthly and quarterly events. Even if you aren’t picking up items, stop by our Weekly Pantry and say hi. Better yet, sign up to volunteer at our Weekly Pantry and engage with our incredible team and community. In October, we will be hosting a Game Night for Black folks. You can find details for that event and more on our Event Calendar.

5. Listen to Our Podcast!

Let’s be real. You should already be doing this. And, if you haven’t tuned in yet, you’re missing out! Don’t worry, you can catch up on AudioBoom, Apple Podcasts, Spotify or wherever else podcasts are located. Our most recent episode, AJ talks with Alise Joy, the CEO of Imagine Black Futures, about what it means to share political power. Listen Here.

6. Tell Your Friends About Us

We’ve said it once. We’ll say it again. In fact, we’re never going to stop saying it: the best way to grow EGC is through direct asks. Once you’ve engaged with us on IG, laughed along with us on our Podcast, and met our leadership personally at our community events, tell your friends about your experience! Then ask them to donate to EGC. Our work is powered by individual community members donating to us on a regular basis. We need your help to grow our Giving Circle.
