Open Positions
The Temporary Share Builder & Delivery Professional is to perform a variety of tasks related to EGC’s CSA Program, building food shares including but not limited to: produce, dry goods, proteins, and other essential items for our families, and delivering those boxes with dignity in a COVID- safe/no-contact method to the doors of our share members in the Portland Metro region.
This is a vital position for the community. We expect all staff members to have strong communication skills, help our share members, and be well-versed in EGC and our programming. This is a fast-paced role that requires someone willing to carry out a large volume of deliveries on a daily basis.
Shifts will vary between share building days in the warehouse and delivery days, which will be scheduled out monthly.
Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the CSA Director (CD), build/pack boxes with love and dignity according to our box standards & procedures
Pack, load, and deliver high volumes of packages 3 days a week
Follow our food health and safety standards paying close attention to quality control, inspecting products, and asking for guidance as needed to keep our families healthy and safe
Clearly label all products according to our policies and procedures
Setup at the beginning of the day & be ready for the packing plan
Store and load share boxes
Clean up at the beginning and end of shift
Follow instructions for your route, reading through your route instructions, and manifest before leaving for the day.
Pick up and deliver different items for the EGC program
Load & Drive EGC vehicle, gas up at the end of the route before coming back to the warehouse
Communicate and work with the CSA team, letting CD know of any issues, etc.
Requirements:
High-volume delivery experience.
Direct experience with serving multicultural and multilingual BIPOC communities within the past 2 years
Direct experience applying the core concepts and principles of diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism work
Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs. up to three flights of stairs multiple times/day
Must be able to load, lift, and carry items up to 50 lbs. for pickup and delivery multiple times/day
Must use routing software for delivery
All staff will sign onto a strict confidentiality agreement to promote the dignity of our share members/families as well as for safety purposes
All staff will adhere to safety policies and use appropriate safety equipment at all times
Must have a clean driving record
Must have a clean background check
Be able to pivot, communicate with CSA Team to adapt as needed, and work as a team.

Pay:
$23-$25/hr depending upon experience
