When we talk about wellness at EGC, we are talking about more than just an individual’s physical health. In our wellness programs, we focus on addressing and building Community Wellness through educational events, social events, plant donation through our Plant Jam, and direct care packages. Through this robust programming, we are strengthening our community’s health and connectivity as we grow and learn together.

Our Plant Jam provides free house plants for BIPOC families. Inspired by the Underground Plant Trae, we have collected and redistributed over 17,000 plants to the community. This is an act of reparations and a way for the greater Portland community to practice the art of giving and receiving.
Anyone can donate plants in Portland during our weekly drop-off times (Tuesday through Friday, 10am to 2pm) at our workspace. Outdoor and indoor plants are accepted, though we have a larger demand for indoor plant donations.
Care Packages + Immediate Resource Sharing
Throughout the year, we collaborate with our community partners and supporters to create care packages of essential items for BIPOC families in Portland. To date, we have sent out over 1500 care packages as well as provided backpacks with school supplies and new clothes to over 500 children. We have also passed out thousands of books, PPE and household items. We accept donations of NEW wellness items throughout the year.
