Why community care is important..

Reflection is an ongoing part of our decolonization work.

We say this phrase “we take care of us” because we the community always end up taking care of us the community and we need to grow that mentality and practice everywhere. We can’t run a community, the government, a nonprofit organization, a mutual aid group like a business. We need to shift our priorities to change the true end results. We would like to invite you to really think about how you are supporting the community you live in, the communities you benefit from, and the communities you ignore. We would like to invite you to stretch yourself in how you give, how you share, and how you support friends, family, neighbors and strangers. As this season of giving comes to life, how are the ways you can be a part of building a stronger community as a whole.
