We want to change the way people think about giving. Our organization is all about Black community empowerment and liberation through redistribution of wealth and community donations/gifts. We are very hands on and entrenched in community. If you are curious about our work reach out and also ask about us in community. Portland knows us and knows our work. For the privacy and dignity of our recipients and community we serve, we don’t show them. We are adamantly agains poverty porn, you do not need to see hungry people or individuals in crisis to understand the need of culturally specific food access work or is that the best way to confirm the work we do. We do our best to document our work in ways that feel authentic and thoughtful and our main focus is on the work itself : serving community members and again being respectful of individuals privacy. This is a small view into the robust and beautiful work that we steward.
